CS 2
Dataminer Aquarius has found new evidence of the coming implementation of the Source 2 engine in CS:GO.
He noted that with one of the latest NVIDIA Drivers a new Game Profile has been added to the NVIDIA Control Panel called "Counter-Strike 2".
Aquarius believes that this indicates the preparation for the long-range release of the new game engine in the Valve shooter.
Source 2 was announced in 2015 as the successor to the original Source engine. Valve ported Dota 2 and some others games on the new engine but СS:GO still works on the old engine. Officially, the developer does not call the release dates of CS:GO on Source 2, but the whole community is impatiently awaiting this and tracks any evidence of the approaching port.
