We are just a few days away from the beginning of PGL Wallachia Season 3, but the bad news is that there won’t be any SEA representatives. Originally, Talon Esports was going to be the only squad from the region, but the team announced it would withdraw from the competition. Instead of inviting another team from the region, Nigma Galaxy will take their place.
Talon Esports Won’t Attend PGL Wallachia Season 3
Many people were looking forward to PGL Wallachia Season 3 because they wanted to see Talon in action. Unfortunately, the squad will miss out on the tournament because of VISA issues. This news is alarming because Talon will also participate in PGL Wallachia Season 4, which will take place in April, and at ESL One Raleigh 2025 in May.
Hopefully, Talon will find a way to fix its problems and attend the upcoming tournament. It is really sad that we won’t see it in action in Romania this week, but the team that will replace it is definitely worth watching.
Following the recent news, the Southeast Asian Dota 2 region has taken another big hit. Aside from the fact that Talon won’t attend the event, Aurora Gaming, another big name in the region, decided to leave SEA and get a full EU roster. We hope things will improve in this part of the world because SEA has a crucial role in Dota 2.
Nigma Galaxy Will Replace Talon Esports
The fact that Talon Esports decided to withdraw from the competition at the last minute made it difficult for PGL. Luckily, the organizer quickly found a replacement in the face of Nigma Galaxy, a team currently based in the Middle East.
Those who have followed the PGL Wallachia Season 3 qualifier may remember that Nigma finished third. The team was behind AVULUS and OG, but since both qualified, PGL decided to invite Kuro and co.
Even though the last couple of years haven’t been the best for Nigma, the team is currently on the rise. That’s why fans will be eager to see what will happen and whether NGX can deal with the best in Dota 2 right now.
The only downside for Nigma is that the team will most likely not have Amer “Miracle-”Al-Barkawi. He won’t be able to attend the tournament, so we will see Daniel Chan “Ghost” Kok Hong instead.
