DarkZero’s Rainbow Six Siege player Paul “Hyper” Kontopanagiotis has decided to take a break in his carrier due to difficult family circumstances.
“I don’t want to get into extreme detail because it isn’t my place to tell everyone specifics on the situation but recently a close family member of mine has suffered life changing injuries and it also plays a part in why I want to go home and be with family at the moment. I have no intentions of completely leaving the scene as I do see myself coming back in the near future,” he noted on Twitlonger.
He said he understood how he let his team down, but he had also lost his motivation to play and couldn’t continue because of it.
DarkZero Esports’ general manager has reported that Hyper could not play for Stage 3 and the organization invited Alexander “Skys” Magor to replace Hyper.
Before DarkZero, Skyes played for Spacestation Gaming from September 2021 to July 2022. With Spacestation, he won the North American League 2021 – Stage 3 and ranked 9th ‘ 12th at the Six Invitational 2022.
DarkZero’s R6 active roster is now:
- Tyler “Ecl9pse” McMullin
- Nick “njr” Rapier
- Roberto “Panbazou” Feliciano
- Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski (captain)
- Alexander “Skys” Magor
