Surprising the scene, Soniqs is making an import and finishing the last details of a deal with G2 Esports for Ben ‘CTZN’ McMillan transfer, sources tell BLIX.GG. The British player would fill in Evan ‘Kanzen’ Bushore place, who’s confirmedly out of the North-American team. Tristan, MrB and Paul ‘Hyper’ Kontopanagiotis were part of Soniqs’ trials, BLIX.GG has learned.
G2 has been already trialling players in CTZN’s place, in case the British leaves.
Ben is part of G2 since 2020 following a transfer from Natus Vincere. During his time in the team, CTZN won the GSA League 2020 Finals and European League 2020 Finals. In the present year, G2 qualified for Berlin and Charlotte Majors’ and achieved playoffs in both but missed the last one in Jönköping.
G2 was able to get a spot in Six Invitational 2023 as also Soniqs and it’s still unknown who G2 is considering replacing CTZN in the active roster.
Approached by BLIX.GG, Soniqs decided to not comment, while G2 didn’t respond to our approach.
Soniqs should consist in:
- Emilio ‘Geometrics’ Leynez
- Richie ‘Rexen’ Coronado
- Pablo ‘Gryxr’ Rebeil
- Shaun ‘Gunnar’ Pottorf
- Ben ‘CTZN’ McMillan
- Lauren ‘Goddess’ Williams (coach)
