R6 is not that long from its tenth anniversary, and we can count 74 Operators in the game right now, which is a lot. If you are new to this game, the Blix team is rushing to your aid.

In 2025, the game’s meta has changed, and some Operators have come to the forefront of competitive play. Here, we will talk about the five Attackers and Defenders who proved indispensable helpers on the battlefield.

    Best Operators to Play

    Top Attackers

It’s impossible to name the best cameramen in Rainbow Six Siege. You should realize that no matter how much we try to be objective, everyone has their own opinion. Even if some Operator is not often seen professionally, it doesn’t mean he is terrible, and vice versa.

However, here’s our list of the five universally best Operators at the moment:

    • Thatcher
    • Nomad
    • Maverick
    • Zero
    • Jackal

    Thatcher

    Release Date: December, 2015

Thatcher’s only real drawback is how often he gets banned. This reflects its strength: its EMP grenades are its most useful and versatile gadget. They turn off all enemy gadgets, and there is no way to counter them.

Thatcher can be useful when attacking buildings. He can also use grenades to destroy barricades and close passageways, helping the team break through enemy defenses.

We also have a curious article: All R6 Elite Skins Review.

    Nomad

    Release Date: December, 2018

This Operator is known for his Airjab repulsor grenades, which effectively cover attackers’ backs and impede defenders’ movements. While he is an excellent Operator, he has never been banned as Thatcher.

Nomad can choose between the ARX200 and the AK-74M, two powerful assault rifles. This makes her a viable operative for any situation. Players usually combine one of the assault rifles with the PRB92 pistol, as the recoil of the 44 MAG is significant.

    Maverick

    Release Date: September, 2018

He is a great solo Operator. He can reach places that are covered and not held by defenders, has good guns, and no reinforcement can stop him. He has two claymores, too.

Maverick is a hardcore hacker and Supporter. He can open any wall or trapdoor on the map. If Maverick uses his Breaching Torch, he becomes vulnerable as he cannot quickly switch to a weapon to defend himself.

    Zero

    Release Date: September, 2020

It is one of the underrated but great Operators for scouting, giving up gadgets, and covering a lot of territory with just your gadgets. It is also another of the best AR and a good SMG.

His combination of submachine guns, MP7, and Argus cameras for intelligence gathering gives him exceptional adaptability, while the speed boost in Solar Raid further enhances his effectiveness.

    Jackal

    Release Date: February, 2017

He is the perfect tracker, which makes him indispensable when you need to find enemies who may have hidden. In addition, his weapons allow him to provide excellent support when planting a bomb because he has two smoke grenades.

Jackal is deadly on any map but is especially useful on large maps such as Kafe, Theme Park, and Clubhouse.

    Top Defenders

The Blix team has tried to select for you the Defenders that will be most useful in different situations:

    • Valkyrie
    • Mozzie
    • Mira
    • Jäger
    • Mute

    Valkyrie

    Release Date: May, 2016

She is simply an excellent scout. Valkyrie’s unique gadget is the Black Eyes, which are tiny cameras that can be deployed on any surface.

Valkyrie equipment is usually underrated because the MPX is a very easy-to-use weapon with very low damage potential. Despite the numbers, most players choose the MPX over the SPAS-12. The secondary D-50, on the other hand, does a lot of damage or creates holes in soft floors or walls.

    Mozzie

    Release Date: March, 2019

Once again, a brilliant scout is presented for your consideration. After his appearance in the game, there was hype surrounding Mozzie for a long time, as his ammo and gadgets made him a must-have for almost any squad.

He is a formidable opponent with his ability to capture and repurpose attack drones. Mozzie also has another buff: He now has four pests, meaning four drones, and impact nades, too, making him more menacing to attackers while being the escapist.

    Mira

    Release Date: February, 2017

Mira and her Black Mirrors are every Attacker’s worst dream. If she’s teamed up with Mute, Bandit, or Kaid, they will force the Attackers to spend significant resources to disarm them. She is best on Oregon, Coastline, Kafe, Clubhouse, and Theme Park.

Let’s face it – Operator is challenging to master, but you will not regret the time spent. You won’t find a more difficult opponent for the Attackers.

    Jäger

    Release Date: December, 2015

Jäger’s ADSs are crucial for intercepting projectiles and grenades. Its active defense systems are as reliable as ever despite being nerfed a few times. The 416-C Carbine remains the defender’s best weapon (even if its magazine is not as big as it used to be).

The Operator’s primary opponents are Thatcher, Twitch, Kali, and Zero—anyone who can destroy or deactivate his ADS from a distance.

    Mute

    Release Date: December, 2015

This Operator can protect his team from attacks by attackers trying to scout data. Mute simultaneously jams their gadgets and prevents them from communicating.

    Conclusion

Operators who didn’t make our all-star top ten aren’t bad. They also bring a variety of advantages and strategic options to the Rainbow Six Siege battlefield.

Kapkan’s traps contain aggressive attackers, and his solid shotgun potential makes him a valuable player on defense. Thermite’s exothermic charges and powerful weapons allow him to breach fortified walls and open new paths for the team.

Kali has improved since the buff, and instead of playing her outside the map, try to pressure her from inside the map. She can punch through great defensive stats. We could say many more, but remember that each Operator can help you, so choose wisely.
