According to sources close to BLIX, Russian player Maksim ‘Jemkin’ Batorov is set to join Indonesian organization Rex Regum Qeon for their VCT Pacific roster rebuild.
The move is one of various moves made by RRQ during the offseason, being the second addition to the roster following the announcement of former Dplus IGL Park ‘Estrella’ Gun onto the organization. Jemkin is expected to fill in the vacancy left by Eroll ‘EJAY’ Jule Delfin, who recently announced his departure from the team.
Jemkin, who currently plays for SCARZ, came into notoriety after emerging victorious in VCL Japan Split 2 to qualify for VCT Pacific: Ascension. Throughout the tournament, Jemkin helped lead SCARZ to several notable victories, finishing second in their group and advancing throughout playoffs, falling only to BLEED in the grand finals to miss out on qualifying for the Pacific league.
Rex Regum Qeon’s rebuild comes following a disappointing finish to their year in the Pacific. The organization finished just shy of the top-six in the regular season to miss out on playoffs while also finishing fourth in the Last Chance Qualifier, failing to make it to either international event throughout 2023.
