The biggest tournament on the Rocket League Championship Series calendar is set to start this Thursday, August 2nd, with the most notable teams in the world all taking part. The World Championship will finish the 2022-23 season following three splits: Fall, Winter, and Spring. German city Düsseldorf will host the 24-team tournament, which contains teams from all across the globe.
There will be $2.1M in prize money up for grabs, with the winner receiving $600K.
Wildcard is the tournament’s first phase, with 16 teams entering a Swiss system format. The top-eight teams will proceed and join eight others in the group stages.

The Wildcard teams will play in a Swiss System, with all matches being a Best of 7.
Teams already qualified for the Group Stage are:
- Group A: Karmine Corp ‘ Europe; Team BDS ‘ Europe; Team Liquid ‘ Europe; Ninjas in Pyjamas ‘ South America.
- Group B: Team Vitality ‘ Europe; FaZe Clan ‘ North America; Gen.G Mobil1 Racing ‘ North America; Rule One ‘ Middle East and North Africa.
Four Wildcard teams will join each group and the best four teams from each group will reach the Playoffs. The winner will be crowned on August 13.
