Natus Vincere star Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostylev explained why he was absent at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022. He had made documents for living in one of the countries but didn’t specify in which one.
“I’m trying to get my paperwork done in one of the countries so that I can be there and just have a house where you can leave things and not travel with two suitcases all the time. You just need to be there to do the paperwork; due to this I missed the first part of BLAST Premier,” he said on the NAVI vlog.
Despite being absent, s1mple helped the team remotely.
“We talked in between maps. I prompted them two pistol rounds in the second match against Complexity, but they didn’t have time to read my message. And then I wrote, and they did two pistol rounds. In the first one, they were pressed, and they changed the plan, but still won both rounds,” s1mple said.
BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 was held on August 19-28 in Copenhagen. Twelve teams competed for $177,500 and six slots at the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022. NAVI, OG, Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and Ninjas in Pajamas qualified for it. Danyyl “headtr1ck” Valitov from NAVI Academy substituted s1mple while he was absent.
