Former SK Gaming Prime jungler Edgaras “Eckas” Strazdauskas is expected to join GameWard in the LFL for 2023, sources told BLIX.GG on Monday. The 21yo would leave the German academy team besides having a contract for 2023, reaching an agreement with the French organization shortly after their previous agreement with French jungler Rudy “SkewMond” Semaan.
Eckas has always been considered one of these hidden gems in the ERL ecosystem, that besides joining a lot of top teams, like Giants Gaming in Spain or Misfits Premier in France, he has not got the chance to showcase his true talent. This offseason, Eckas has been rumored to join teams like Unicorns of Love or Team Aegis, but ended up joining GameWard in the end.
As reported before, Eckas would be accompanied by Practice on the botlane and twohoyrz in the midlane, which means that both the toplane and support positions need to be resident players for GameWard to field these 3 players. Tryouts are already underway, but no decision has been made yet.
