According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, BLIX understands that Indian organization Global Esports has reached a verbal agreement with Finnish player Niko “Polvi” Polvinen. This development marks a significant stride for the organization as Polvi is set to become their latest international import.
It is understood that while Polvi has reached an agreement with Global, he will play a few more upcoming tournaments for his current organization, Valiant, and then depart to join Global Esports, should everything go as planned.
Polvi’s acquisition represents a strategic choice by the Indian outfit, aligning with their vision for an international star lineup. This addition complements the existing roster featuring Benedict “Benkai” Tan, Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, Russel “Russ” Mendes and Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin, as previously reported.
Global Esports were forced to restructure their lineup after losing Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha to Paper Rex, whom the Singaporean organization tapped to replace Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie who will be unable to compete with the World Championship runner-up team due to mandatory Singaporean military service.
