David ‘Iconic’ Ifidon is the player chosen by M80 to replace Zachary ‘SpiriTz’ Dionne, who’s not in M80 plans for 2023, sources tell BLIX.GG. Iconic was a member of Astralis since 2021 but the Danish organization decided to put a stop to their Siege operations, similar to many other organizations.
The 20-year-old player led the team in that period with multiple good performances. The team finished in first place in the first stage of the North American League meaning qualification for the Six Major in Charlotte. There, Astralis lost only to DarkZero 2-3 in the Grand Final of the competition. Recently, at the Six Invitational, Astralis finished fourth, being eliminated by G2 in Montreal.
Iconic joining the team would mean the first change for M80’s roster, a team that will be part of 2023’s edition of the NAL.
