Team Spirit starts internal investigation into allegations of w0nderful's implication in match-fixing

Belgrade-based Russian esport organization Team Spirit reacted to public accusations of her CS:GO player Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov of being involved in match-fixing.

"Recently, Team Spirit player Igor "w0nderful" Zhdanov became subject of discussion in the community due to the revealed details of the investigation conducted by ESIC. Team Spirit has always stood for fair play. The organization is aware of the accusations made against Igor and is cooperating with ESIC, while conducting an internal investigation alongside," noted the organization's statement.

Team Spirit also thanked Ex-Esports Integrity Commission employee Alexei "Yarabeu" Kurlov, who had made public accusations of a large number of cybersportsmen of fixing matches. One of the accused was w0nderful.

In addition to accusations against athletes, Yarabeu published details of the inner workings of ESIC. According to him, the problem with fraud in esports has become gigantic.
