Valve has opened applications from companies who want to broadcast The International 2023 (TI 12) in Seattle. According to the new calendar released for the main Dota 2 event, it will go on for two days longer than previously planned.
Valve has decided to lengthen the Group stage for the Road to the International, with it now beginning on October 12, instead of October 14 as was earlier announced.
The new schedule is:
- Road to the International ‘ Group Stage: October 12 – 15, 2023 (Rehearsal dates TBD)
- Road to the International ‘ Playoffs: October 20 – 22, 2023 (Rehearsal dates TBD)
- The International ‘ Finals Weekend: October 27 ‘ 29, 2023
This year Valve declined to release a Batlle Pass for the upcoming TI. In previous years, Battle Pass sales bolstered The International’s prize pool, but that won’t be the case for TI 12.
The International 2023 will feature 20 teams. In addition to the top 12 DPC teams, 8 teams will be selected through regional qualifiers in August.
