Ukrainian multi-gaming esports organization Natus Vincere has parted ways with Valorant players Mikhail “Duno” Fokin, Denis “dinkzj” Tkachev and Nikolai “zeddy” Lapko.
This decision was made following the results of the summer season. NAVI could not qualify for the playoffs at the 2022 VCT EMEA Stage 2 Challengers and flew out of the Last Chance Qualifier for Valorant Champions finishing in the 5th-6th place.
Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev and Vladyslav “arch” Svistov (captain) remained on the team at the moment.
Moreover, the organization decided to recruit Valorant Academy, apparently hoping to repeat the success of their own CS:GO Academy, where the talents of Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy and Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov blossomed.
“Due to their unsatisfactory performance during the last season, Mikhail “Duno” Fokin, Nikolai “zeddy” Lapko and Denis “dinkzj” Tkachov are leaving the team. We thank the guys for their cooperation. Valorant is our top priority discipline, and we are looking to strengthening it for the next season. Today, we are launching a very important project for the formation of the NAVI Academy â ROAD TO NAVI VALORANT. Using the example of our CS:GO Academy, we are confident we can equip players with qualities necessary for the club, so that they can make the main team in the future. The Academy will allow us to discover new talents in Eastern Europe and Ukraine. We at NAVI need to develop our own scene, which is what we are setting out to do in the near future,” said NAVI Head of Esports Amiran “ami” Rekhviashvili.
Minimal requirements for candidates are:
- Age from 16 to 19 years;
- Residence status of one of the European countries (including Ukraine);
- Having vlr.gg and thespike.gg pages;
- No contractual obligations to other clubs.
