According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, BLIX understands that UCAM’s head coach, Marcos “aer0z” Ochoa, has reached a verbal agreement to leave the organization to join KOI as the team’s assistant coach. The move will see the 34-year-old former CS:GO pro make his debut in VCT EMEA with the Spanish organization.
aer0z’s tenure in Valorant has seen him work for ZETA and UCAM, with the latter team being where he made his mark, helping the Murcian university to third-place finishes in both VCT Challengers Spain: Rising splits.
With this addition, KOI will reinforce its coaching staff following the departure of Alex “goked” Kie to Leviatán, as first reported by BLIX.
