Vyse Map Tier List
Vyse Map Tier List
Vyse’s effectiveness varies across maps depending on line-of-sight control, tight spaces, and vantage points. Here’s a tier list breakdown based on Vyse’s utility strength and playstyle compatibility:
- S-Tier Maps (highly recommended): Maps where Vyse’s abilities shine due to narrow corridors and high-choice points, allowing her skills to maximize their value.
- A-Tier Maps (recommended): Maps with open spaces and less frequent choke points require more creative ability usage.
- B-Tier Maps (not recommended): Maps with large areas that make it harder for Vyse to control zones
Tier List:
- S-Tier: Split, Abyss, Ascent, Heaven
- A-Tier: Pearl, Sunset
- B-Tier: Bind
Vyse Abilities Breakdown
Vyse abilities
Signature Ability (Arc Rose)
A blind in the form of a flower that sits on the wall flashes enemies when activated, similar to a Breach flash but with a slower activation time. Vyse blind also works as a great tool to gather information, as it makes a sound when enemies are blind, indicating a possible site hit. Another fantastic feature of this ability is that once it is placed on the wall, you can pull it back and use it later, but with an 18-second cooldown. To use Vyse blind (Arc Rose), you left-click to place it on the wall before you, then left-click to place it through the wall and flash the other side. Overall, Vyse Blind is an excellent tool for taking and retaking sites, especially if timed correctly.
Razorvine
The best way to describe Vyse C’s ability Razorvine is if you combined Sage Slows with Killoy Molly or a Gekko Molly. The difference with this one is that you only take damage once you start moving in it; if you stay still, you will receive no damage. While this may seem a little downgrading it not, the main objective of this utility is to stop enemy pushes or deny them accessing the site, and it does pretty well considering how big the molly is and how long it takes to disappear. One downside of this ability is that it is visible to the enemy and accessible to destroy. You can use Razorvine successfully to learn setup and spot enemies you cannot expect.
Shear
What separates Vyse from other Sentinels is her indestructible wall. This barrier only costs 200 credits and offers excellent value for the team. Unlike the Sage wall, which disappears after a while or is destroyed by the enemy team, Vyse Shear only activates when an enemy walks through it. It lasts 8 seconds and cannot be destroyed, meaning this wall is an excellent choice for stopping enemy rushes. Also, it works surprisingly well as an alarm bot for the flank when you take the attacker’s side.
Steel Garden (Ultimate)
It is one of the most overpowered ultimates in the game, with the ability to force enemies to stop using their primary weapons and only have to rely on the rest of their buyout. This ability comes in handy during a retake scenario. When the enemies plant the spike and it is your guy’s role as a defender to defuse it, remember that this ultimate doesn’t last long, so communicate with the rest of the team to get them ready to make the most out of it.
Vyse Utility Setup
A good Vyse setup will deny the enemy access to the site. To do so, keep these things in mind:
- Use the Vyse wall to cover the main site entrance.
- Don’t rely on Vyse Razorvine for post-plant, as it does not damage the diffuser.
- Razorvine and Shear are an excellent utility combo for defense.
- Yoru clone can activate Shear and give you a false notice.
Maximize Defensive Wins with Vyse
One of Vyse’s most vital points is her ability to stop enemy pushes and give her team enough time to rotate. Here’s a breakdown of how to utilize her abilities:
Control Chokepoints with Vyse Wall
- Vyse’s wall is one of her most potent defense tools. Position it to cut off a main entryway, such as a mid- or main path into the site.
- Try splitting the site with the wall for larger maps with multiple entry points. This will create “safe zones” for you and your teammates, allowing you to play around the wall while holding critical angles.
Lock Down Narrow Pathways with Razorvine
- Razorvine is especially useful for delaying pushes and buying time for your teammates to rotate and reinforce the site. Its value as an area-denial tool can completely alter the enemy’s timing and strategy.
Combo Shear with Razorvine for Maximum Effect
- Shear provides excellent early warning when attackers move through specific areas. Place it near Razorvine to alert you when someone trips the Razorvine, giving you both audio and visual cues of the enemy’s location.
Ultimate Usage on Defense
- It should be used during retake rounds to maximize Vyse’s ultimate usage, as the enemy team is only left with their secondary guns.
- Taking sites is also a great way of using her ultimate, as the other team has no choice but to back off.
- Remember that this ultimate only disables the primary weapon and does not affect the secondary or the abilities.
Is Vyse Better Than Other Sentinels?
Valorant Agent: Vyse
On paper, Vyse may seem strong with her creative abilities and how well she can lock down sites and contribute to the team on the attack side, which a lot of Sentinels lack this feature. In a small map where site entre are narrow, without any doubt, Vyse is going to be everybody’s pick on the other side, where specific maps may seem significant and have more than two entree site points, such as Breeze and Fracture, where this agent falls apart. Finally, Vyse is a great agent with many possibilities and endless setups and tricks. When choosing which Sentinels to play, it all comes down to personal favorites: what can work on others may not work on you and other’s way around.
