Here’s the complete list of teams that will take part in Group A and Group B of the Riyadh Masters 2023.
The Riyadh Masters 2023 is the big tournament everyone’s been waiting for with one of the largest prize pools in the game’s history. We have already covered some of the team storylines and the meta information you need to know about the event. However, now the Play-Ins are ready, it’s time to take a look at both groups and see all teams taking part in the event.

Group A
Although both groups seem interesting to watch, Group A has more to offer. Here, you can find some of the big favorites to win this competition, which means every single clash will be extraordinary to watch.
- Evil Geniuses
- Gaimin Gladiators
- Team Spirit
- PSG.LGD
- Quest Esports
- Xtreme Gaming
- 9Pandas
- OG
It probably goes without saying, but some of the teams you’ll see here are in a much better position than others, so let’s learn more about them.
Gaimin Gladiators
As mentioned in our Overview and Prediction article earlier this week, Gaimin Gladiator is the big favorite to win this tournament. Judging from the stats and everything that happened in 2023, there is no arguing GG is on another level. The team will have some competition at the Riyadh Masters 2023, but no one can deny it is the big favorite.
Team Spirit
The finalist of the Riyadh Masters 2022 will try to win its first tournament of 2023 following a series of unsatisfying results. Even though the team performs fairly well against most of its opponents, it can’t deal with the top names in Western Europe. There’s still time until The International 2023, but Team Spirit has to use this tournament to practice against the best of the best.
PSG.LGD
LGD is the winner of last year’s Riyadh Masters and the team who a lot of people will be interested in. Even though LGD has problems against some top-tier western squads, the team has the players to win this tournament.
Evil Geniuses
The South American squad didn’t perform as expected in the last Major, so most people are skeptical about its chances at Riyadh Masters 2023. However, we’ve seen many cases where the underdogs eventually win, so you never know what will happen.
OG
OG finally made it into a big event after missing out on the Bali Major 2023. The team had to go through hell to get here, but in the end, we’ll see BZM’s squad in action.
Quest Esports
Another big name we’ll have the chance to watch in Group A of the Riyadh Masters 2023 is Quest Esports. Even though ATF is no longer a part of the team, Quest proved they deserve to be here after a flawless performance during the Play-In stage.
Xtreme Gaming
After not being able to qualify for some of the big tournaments, Xtreme Gaming is finally back. Paparazzi’s squad will have to prove themselves the best in the world in Group A, so don’t be surprised if you notice the team is an underdog.
9Pandas
After surviving in the decider against Virtus.Pro, 9Pandas also joined the best of the best in Group A. Now, the EEU squad will need to battle against Team Spirit and several other top-tier Dota 2 squads.
Group B
A lot of the teams in Group B of the Riyadh Masters 2023 seem like they have a chance to finish among the top 4 and advance to the Playoffs. This means every clash will be unpredictable and thrilling to watch.
While on the topic of the teams, here are all the names we’ll be able to see in action:
- Team Secret
- BetBoom Team
- Tundra Esports
- Team Aster
- Shopify Rebellion
- Talon Esports
- Team Liquid
- TSM
BetBoom Team
BetBoom is an interesting Dota 2 team who have risen to fame and crashed in just a couple of weeks. Following their awe-inspiring results before the Bali Major 2023 and in the first couple of days after it began, one of the players was caught cheating because he was watching a live stream of his team’s match versus Tundra Esports. This has led to a loss, after which BetBoom also lost their LB match and was eliminated.
Tundra Esports
Everyone respects the current TI champion, and Nine and the rest have shown good results recently. However, the team seems slightly behind the likes of Gaimin Gladiators, so the players will have to step up their game.
Team Aster
Although Aster’s most recent results have not been as good as those of PSG.LGD, SumaiL, and Monet have more than enough experience to explode at Riyadh Masters 2023. It’s been a while since a Chinese team won a big event, so it’ll be interesting to see if Aster can do that now.
Shopify Rebellion
North America’s strongest Dota 2 team seems miles away from their Western and Eastern European competitors. However, having players like Arteezy and Abed on your team means you are almost always one of the favorites to win any tournament. This also includes the Riyadh Masters 2023.
Talon Esports
Prior to the Bali Major 2023, there was a glimmer of hope for Talon Esports because the team had some good results. However, it wasn’t able to live up to the expectations after that, so it’s not in its best form.
Team Liquid
After having almost no problems in the Play-In stage, Team Liquid will try to repeat its dominant results from the last Major at the Riyadh Masters 2023. The team is one of the big favorites to win this event.
TSM
Aside from Shopify Rebellion, we also have the 2nd-best team in North America. It’s been a while since TSM won any big tournament, but the team seems ready to show its prowess at the Riyadh Masters 2023.
Team Secret
Another big team from Western Europe back on the big stage is Team Secret. Puppey’s squad had to earn its spot in the groups after playing in the Decider, and although it lost its first match against Execration, the team bounced back and won the series.
