The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community has reacted to the removal of the iconic Dust2 map from the Active Duty map pool with mixed feelings. Most of them are surprised and confused about the Valve’s decision.
The Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere regarded it as a bad joke.
“Bro, it’s 5 more months till April 1’st,” NAVI replied to the official CS:GO Twitter account.
Team Vitality posted a photo with their in-game leader Dan “apEX” Madesclaire with a dumbfounded expression. apEX himself tweeted: “Dust2 I love you. Never forget that.”
The BIG in-game leader Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz burst into nervous laughter and one of his commentators called the replacement of maps for the pro scene a shame.
Young G2 star Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov expressed confusion with Valve’s decision.
“What’s [hell] I saw right now? AWP should have been nerfed for a long time, but why [did they killing] Dust?”, he noted on his Telegram channel.
Social networks are swelling before our eyes with comments about the latest CS:GO patch. How Valve will react is still unknown.
