The International 2025 will be one of Dota 2’s best tournaments this year, and it will include 16 of the top teams in the world. After we’ve covered EEU, WEU & SA, it’s time to focus on the remaining Dota 2 regions. There is still time left until the Closed Qualifiers come to an end, so let’s learn more about everything.

    Contents

    • 1 North America
    • 2 Southeast Asia
    • 3 China
    • 4 Closing Thoughts

    North America

Following a series of disappointing results, North America only received one slot for The International 2025. It’s definitely one of the more intriguing options to watch, so here is a list of all Dota 2 teams that we will see in action:

    • Shopify Rebellion
    • Wildcard
    • Yory RyodaN
    • 4 Anchor + Dota Sama
    • CDUB Esports
    • BSJ and friends
    • Tt Geam
    • Team Slayer

If you have been following this Dota 2 region, you know that Shopify Rebellion is the team that everyone will focus on. Even though the squad is in North America, a fascinating fact is that the roster does not have a single NA player. It consists of two SEA superstars, two players from Europe, and one from South America.

The second team that has a (potential) chance to qualify for The International 2025 is Wildcard. This was the second team to receive a direct invitation for the Closed Qualifiers, but it will be very hard for it to go up against.

    Southeast Asia

Everyone who follows Dota 2 knows that Southeast Asia is among the most interesting regions. It is one of those places where absolutely everything is possible because there are also at least a couple of teams that are equally matched. Before diving deep into the potential favorites, here are all the teams you will see in action:

    • BOOM Esports
    • Talon Esports
    • Castawake
    • Trailer Park Boys
    • Ivory
    • Kopite
    • Team Nemesis
    • Tech Free Gaming
    • InterActive Philippines
    • Execration

Even if you don’t follow the Southeast Asian Dota 2 scene up close, you can immediately tell that there are multiple teams here that have equal chances of advancing to the big tournament.

Starting with Talon Esports, this is the main favorite and the team that everyone will follow closely. Talon’s current roster consists of some of the most talented SEA players, such as Mikoto, 23savage, Kuku, and others. The team has consistent results and will most likely be one of the two SEA squads to advance to TI.

The good news for this region is that it has 2 slots. By the looks of it, BOOM Esports will be the 2nd squad that will secure The International 2025 invite. BOOM’s current team is an interesting mixture of old-school players and young talents. Although it may not have had the best international results, overall, the team is in a solid position to win.

    China

The last Dota 2 region that we’ll take a look at in this The International 2025 Qualifiers is China. Surprisingly, China only has one slot for the upcoming tournament, which means that the matches here will be fierce. Almost all teams here have legit chances of qualifying, so here are all of the names we will see in action:

    • Yakult Brothers
    • Xtreme Gaming
    • Excel Esports
    • Azure Ray
    • Vici Gaming
    • Future Esports
    • Team Curtain
    • Tearlaments

Yakult Brothers, Xtreme Gaming, Azure Ray, and Vici Gaming all have real chances to qualify for The International. Yakult Brothers is probably the best-performing Chinese powerhouse internationally, but when it comes to the domestic scene, each of the other teams is doing well.

Xtreme Gaming is traditionally doing well, whereas Vici Gaming recently came back in action with a roster that consists of some of China’s most experienced players. Consequently, both are in an excellent position to secure the TI slot.

Lastly, we have Azure Ray, once the best team in China. Despite the many roster changes, the current squad has the likes of Monet, Somux, and xNova. Everyone knows that each of these players can make a difference and help their team win.

    Closing Thoughts

We believe that these 3 Dota 2 regions are even more interesting than those we’ve covered before. This is especially true for China and North America because both of them only have 1 slot for TI. We expect tons of epic matches, so remember to follow Blix.gg for more information.
