Elisa Esports has revealed that HEROIC will be joining the lineup of competing teams for the highly anticipated Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 event. Scheduled to take place from October 16th to 20th in Espoo, Finland, this prestigious eight-team tournament boasts an impressive $200,000 prize pool and will see top-tier squads from across the globe vying for victory.

The MongolZ have secured the top rank and received a direct invitation to compete. They will be joined by 9z, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and ENCE, who also earned their spots through direct invites.
B8 and Rebels secured their berths by participating in the Elisa Invitational Spring and Fall events, respectively. Meanwhile, Aleksi ‘allu’ Jalli’s team, JANO, earned a spot by winning the Elisa Esports eSM tournament.
The teams will be divided into two GSL-style groups, meaning that each group will have its own double-elimination format. In the opening matches, teams will play a single game (BO1), while in the subsequent matches, they will play a series of up to three games (BO3). The top two teams from each group will then move on to a single-elimination playoff bracket. In the playoffs, the semi-finals will consist of a series of up to three games (BO3), and the grand final will be a series of up to five games (BO5).
The MongolZ are expected to be the top contenders to win the championship in Finland, following their victory at YaLLa Compass earlier this year. However, HEROIC and 9z are also strong teams and are likely to give the Mongolians a tough competition for the top spot.
All eyes will be on Ninjas in Pyjamas as they debut with Gareth ‘MisteM’ Ries, while B8 makes their first LAN appearance with Daniil ‘headtr1ck’ Valitov and Andrii ‘npl’ Kukharskyi. ENCE’s lineup for the tournament is also of interest as they have yet to replace Krzysztof ‘Goofy’ Górski, who recently left the team.
