Team Liquid emerged victorious in the IEM Rio North America closed qualifier, earning themselves a coveted place at the upcoming $250,000 competition, which will take place from October 7th to 13th.
The team, originally based in Europe, made the journey to North America to compete in the qualifier. They were widely expected to secure the sole Rio spot available in the tournament, where they faced strong competition from Legacy, LAG, and FLUFFY AIMERS.
Liquid is now scheduled to participate in at least three upcoming events before the Perfect World Shanghai Major RMRs in November. These events include ESL Pro League Season 20 and BLAST Premier Fall Final.
