Team Tidebound’s New Roster
Following the announcement on Weibo, the Chinese Dota 2 roster will have the following names:
- Guo “shiro” Xuanyang
- Shu “Echo” Ziliang
- Li “niu” Kongbo
- Lin “pLAnet” Hao
- Zhang “y” Liping
As you can clearly see, the team has several big names in it. An interesting fact is that shiro retained his role as the team’s carry. The same applies to the two supports, which means that the two new names are Echo and niu. There were rumours that the organization would also replace its supports, but this is not the case.
Some of you may not know, but Niu was the team’s assistant coach before. Speaking of couches, this role goes to Yao.
Faith_bian, NothingToSay, and bLink Left Team Tidebound
The fact that Team Tidebound announced its new roster means that it had to part ways with several players. One of them was Zhang “Bach” Ruida, the team’s offlaner (previously known as Faith_bian). Alongside him, the team also won’t rely on Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Ziang because the latter is a part of Xtreme Gaming.
The Future of the Team
Team Tidebound was one of the best Dota 2 clubs in China, so most people were surprised by its decision to introduce a new roster. Fans remember that the squad got a top 4 placement at the PGL Wallachia Season 4 and a Top 6 placement at the BLAST Slam III.
Sadly, the team was unable to live up to the expectations at The International 2025. Despite the good results in the Group Stage, the team was unable to survive against Xtreme Gaming, another Chinese powerhouse.
Now that the new team is here, TT will try to reclaim its throne as one of the best Dota 2 teams in China. Led by Yao, one of the most experienced and accomplished players, Tem Tidebound definitely has a bright future ahead of it.
