After a week of epic matches, the PGL Wallachia Season 4 is over. This was one of the most anticipated tournaments of the month, bringing together all of the big names in Dota 2. The event was also exciting to watch because of the current Dota 2 meta and the 7.38c patch.

As expected, some teams used very intriguing tactics while playing, so now it is time for our PGL Wallachia Season 4 Meta Recap. You are about to learn more about the top heroes, those that performed best, the worst options right now, and more. Keep in mind that the next big Dota 2 tournament is just around the corner, so we expect to see more or less the same heroes in action.

    The Most Picked Heroes

It seems like every Dota 2 tournament has its stars in terms of the most popular picks. PGL Wallachia Season 4 was no exception, and Ringmaster won the award for the most popular hero. With a total of 70 picks, he is the clear leader in popularity. What’s also impressive about the newest Dota 2 hero is that he is very successful and has a 50% win rate.

Aside from the top-tier Position 5, the 2nd spot for the most picked Dota 2 hero at this event is also for a support. This time, the award goes to Jakiro, who has 56 picks and a similar win rate to Ringmaster. Jakiro is a great all-arounder who works in a variety of setups.

Lastly, we have number 3 on the list, and it is Tiny. The latter has 42 picks, but his win rate is substantially lower than that of the other two heroes. Unlike them, however, Tiny is incredibly versatile and can fit into all roles when needed, which is one of the reasons for his lower win rate.

    The Least Picked Heroes

PGL Wallachia Season 4 Meta Recap - Everything You Should Know

After checking some of the most popular heroes, our PGL Wallachia Season 4 meta-analysis will continue with the least picked heroes. An interesting fact is that several heroes did not get a single pick in any series. Some of them include:

    • Leshrac
    • Meepo
    • Troll Warlord
    • Lina

Aside from them, a lot of the other popular heroes in pub matches did not get as much love as we expected. Tidehunter, for example, only played in 8 matches, whereas Abaddon was a part of 10 games. Lifestealer, one of the best carries in the current meta, also only played in 8 matches.

    The Most Successful Heroes

PGL Wallachia Season 4 allowed us to see all sorts of heroes in action. Many of them have very high win rates, but we at Blix.gg decided to focus only on those with 10 or more matches. That’s why the first spot on the list goes to Dark Seer.

One of the best offlaners in Dota 2 took part in over 23 games and has an impressive 69.57% win rate. DS has proven he can work in many setups and has one of the best team-fight potentials.

Moving on to the next most successful Dota 2 hero at the PGL Wallachia Season 4, we have Bristleback. The offlaner/carry appeared in close to 40 games, and his win rate was over 68%. Albeit not a hero that can work in all situations, Bristleback can be a solid pick when you need a frontliner that can also do a lot of damage.

Finally, we have Puck. He is another midder that works very well in this meta, so we are not surprised his win rate is over 66%. With that said, Ember appeared in 15 games, which is less than the heroes mentioned beforehand.

The Heroes With The Lowest Win Rate

After looking at some of the best Dota 2 heroes at the PGL Wallachia Season 4, it is time to do the same for those with the lowest win rate. Some names here will definitely surprise you, and Slardar is among them.

Although the hero has a solid pub presence, Slardar’s win rate at this event was abysmal. The hero appeared in 12 matches and only won 2, resulting in a 16% win rate.

The second place on the list is for Warlock, a popular support. Sadly, he has not been that good because he has a 27% win rate after playing in 11 games.

The situation with the 3nd lowest win rate hero in this Dota 2 event is also similar. Brewmaster had the chance to play in 19 games in total and only scored a 31.58% win rate. He seems to be better than Slardar in the current meta, but not good enough to have a positive win rate.

    The Most Banned Heroes

When it comes to most bans, there were a couple of heroes that were on another level. The first name on the list, as expected, is Templar Assassin. She is one of the best Dota 2 heroes in the current meta, which is why she was banned in almost 90 games.

The second slot for the most banned hero at the PGL Wallachia Season 4 goes to Ancient Apparition. He is one of those supports who can make a huge difference, which is why he was banned a total of 84 times.

Finally, we have another midder that is strong in the current meta – Tinker. He became incredibly popular in the last couple of patches, and it seems like teams do not like playing against him. That’s why he was banned for 74 games.

Keep in mind that Money King was also banned in 74 games.

    Conclusion

We hope that our PGL Wallachia Season 4 Meta Recap helped you learn more about some of the hottest heroes right now. We expect the meta to remain the same in the subsequent event, but we are yet to see if this will be the case. Don’t forget to Blix.gg for more details.
