Elisa Masters Espoo organizers have announced that 9z is the second team to receive an invitation to the tournament. This brings the total number of confirmed teams for the event taking place in Espoo, Finland, from October 16-20.
During the previous announcement, the event organizers disclosed that ENCE, B8, and JANO earned their spots in the $250,000 competition by winning the Elisa Invitational Spring and Elisa eSM tournaments.
9z’s participation in Elisa Masters Espoo follows several invites after their surprise semi-final run at IEM Dallas and victory at the FiReLEAGUE Global Finals. This led to their highest-ever organization ranking at 11th place.
After the summer off-season, 9z has not been able to maintain their previous level of performance. They exited IEM Cologne in 13th-16th place. However, they have several upcoming opportunities to regain their form, as they have received invitations to ESL Pro League Season 20, IEM Rio, Elisa Masters, and the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR.

The Finnish event will invite three additional teams to participate, and the last remaining spot will be granted to the victor of the ongoing Elisa Invitational Fall, which started its group stage earlier this week.
