ESL has confirmed that BetBoom will not be able to participate in IEM Cologne 2024 due to visa complications. As a result, 3DMAX will be replacing the Russian team at the prestigious event, following the guidelines outlined in the ESL Pro Tour’s Team Replacement Rules.
BetBoom qualified for the IEM ColognePlay-In stage through the ESL World Ranking. This marked their return to competition after not playing an official match since YaLLa Compass in June.
BetBoom had originally planned to take part in the Skyesports Championship but ultimately decided to withdraw from the tournament, stating that the Indian tournament organizer had failed to meet promised conditions. They also expressed concerns about fairness.

3DMAX will take BetBoom’s place in the Play-In bracket, which means their first match will be against 9z this Wednesday at 12:30 CET.
