Even though we have a few weeks left until both Dota 2 tournaments, the organizers have decided to share more information about them. BLAST Slam IV: Malta and FISSURE Universe: Episode 8. Both Dota 2 tournaments have impressive prize pools, and the teams participating will make them worth watching, so let’s check them out.
BLAST Slam VI: Malta Teams
Taking place between February 3-15, BLAST Slam VI: Malta will be among the first big Dota 2 events of 2026, and you definitely do not want to miss it. 12 teams will do what they can to earn the $1,000,000 reward, and BLAST finally decided to share their names:
- Xtreme Gaming
- Rekonix
- Navi
- GamerLegion
- Team Spirit
- Tundra
- MOUZ
- Team Falcons
- OG Esports
- Team Yandex
- HEROIC
- Team Liquid
The battle will be fierce because all of these 12 teams are in a good position to win. Naturally, Tundra and Team Falcons seem like the two big favorites because both have had amazing results in 2025. We believe they are the best Dota 2 teams right now, so it will be interesting to see if they can live up to people’s expectations.
Aside from these two, there are a few interesting squads we’ll keep an eye on, one of which is Team Spirit. The team won’t play with Larl and also recently parted ways with Silent, their coach, so it will be interesting to see the results.
REKONIX is another interesting name that a lot of people will follow closely. The Indonesian powerhouse has a really good roster on paper, but this will be its first Tier 1 event, so it will be fun to see what’s going to happen. q
FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 Teams
The second tournament (technically the first one in terms of dates) that we’ll have the chance to watch is the FISSURE Universe: Episode 8. The event will take place from January 29 to February 1 and feature 8 teams competing for a $250,000 prize. Even though it may not seem as interesting as BLAST Slam VI: Malta, this competition will also give us access to several big names:
- Team Spirit
- PARIVISION
- BetBoom Team
- Team Liquid
- Team Yandex
- MOUZ
- TBD
- TBD
We do not know the remaining two teams because they will come through he qualifiers. Regardless of who makes it, we can see several big names, so it’s safe to say it will be an interesting competition to follow.
