Team Vitality has made Counter-Strike history by becoming the first team to win two Intel Grand Slams after their dominant victory at IEM Rio 2026.

The French-led team put on a show in Brazil, sweeping Team Spirit 3-0 in the grand final. This win earned them another trophy and a spot among the game’s all-time greats.

    A Historic Milestone for Counter-Strike

    Vitality winning Intel Grand Slam

With the win at IEM Rio, Vitality completed their second Grand Slam run, making them the only organization to achieve this feat twice and back-to-back.

The Intel Grand Slam is one of the most prestigious achievements in Counter-Strike, requiring teams to win four elite ESL events within a limited window.

Vitality’s latest run was built on victories at:

    • IEM Dallas 2025
    • ESL Pro League Season 22
    • IEM Kraków 2026
    • IEM Rio 2026

Winning in Rio was the last step, earning them the $1,000,000 Grand Slam prize and marking the start of a new era of dominance.

Vitality didn’t just win, they dominated.

Facing Spirit in the grand final, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire’s squad delivered a clean 3-0 sweep, showcasing their tactical depth and individual brilliance.

During the tournament, Vitality seemed unbeatable. They defeated top teams like NAVI and FURIA on their way to the title and stayed calm under pressure in front of an excited Brazilian crowd.

This win was also their fourth trophy of the 2026 season, showing how consistent they are at the top level.

With apEX leading, Vitality has become a powerhouse in Counter-Strike history.

After winning their first Grand Slam in 2025, this second title proves their success is not just a one-time achievement but a period of real dominance.

After the win, apEX talked about the team’s drive and desire to be perfect, even in a final where they were clearly ahead.

The GOAT CS2 Team Debate Intensifiess.

With two Grand Slams, several Major titles, and more trophies, Vitality is now seen as one of the greatest Counter-Strike teams ever.

They stand out from past Grand Slam winners like Astralis, Liquid, NAVI, and FaZe because they have stayed at the top through different seasons, metas, and opponents.

Now, halfway through 2026, the question isn’t if Vitality is a dynasty, but how much further they can build their legacy.
