Even though there is still time for the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026, we already know the name of one of the participants. Lynn Vision made it to the tournament after securing the Hero Esports Asian Champions League earlier today. Let’s see what we know.
Lynn Vision To Attend the EWC 2026 After Winning the Hero Esports Asian Champions League
It’s safe to say that many CS2 fans were surprised by the fact that Lynn Vision ended up winning the Hero Esports Asian Champions League. The team defeated JiejieHao in the Grand Final in Shanghai and became the first Asian team to attend the upcoming event.
An interesting fact is that the Hero Esports ACL was actually the only regional qualifier for the Esports World Cup. Speaking of the latter, it will have a $2M prize pool and will include the 32 best CS2 teams in the world. Before learning the names of the rest, however, there will be a massive LAN qualifier that will include 128 teams. Originally, everything was supposed to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but due to the war in the Middle East, the organizers decided to move it to Paris.
The news about the changes in the location is still fresh, so we are not fully sure about its impact on the Counter-Strike competition. We would not be surprised if the tournament’s organizers decide to change the format and/or adjust the qualifiers to make them more convenient.
Lynn Vision will be one of the Asian representatives, but there is no arguing that we will see all of the big names. We will just have to wait to see which teams will make it.
