Danish esport organization Astralis have announced the departure of four of their CS:GO players from their female roster.

"Astralis now say goodbye and thank you for the efforts of the current players and will introduce a new team over the coming weeks, under the continued leadership of team captain Aurora Lyngdal," noted the organization statement.

Yoana "Joanana" Vlaykova, Héjja "kezziwOw" Kászandrá (previous IGL), Selin "spike" Sinem Alak, Luna "ManeschijnX" Akkermans and Rachel "RacheLL" Kujawa have left the organization.

According to Astralis' Director of Sports Kasper Hvidt, young Danish esportswomen will be accepted into the new squad.

"The goal is to develop a team that can compete at the top level over the coming years," he said.

Astralis created a women's team in September 2022. The outgoing roster failed to achieve significant results in the highest-rated tournaments, such as the ESL Impact.

Astralis' new women's team is expected to be built during the summer, so everything is ready for the next season of the Impact League in August.

Astralis Fe now are:

  • Aurora "aurora" Lyngdal (IGL)
  • Søren "zibron" Geertsen (Coach)
