ENCE, the Finnish organization, has recently announced that Niclas 'enkay J' Krumhorn will take on the role of the new head coach for their main CS2 roster. This was confirmed by the organization on Monday.
The new addition to the team is a 35-year-old German player who has taken the place of Jakub 'kuben' Gurczyński. 'kuben', a veteran player from Poland, was benched from ENCE in late August following the team's failure to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMRs, which brought an end to the organization's five-year Major attending streak.
'enkay J' has been given the responsibility of steering the team in a new direction following a challenging period at ENCE. The team's recent struggles have resulted in a significant decline, placing them on the verge of dropping out of the top 30 teams globally.
The German coach previously led the Entropiq team, joining forces with former BIG teammate Tizian 'tiziaN' Feldbusch for a European project that spanned a year. Unfortunately, the team did not achieve much success, and in July, the Czech organization benched the entire roster due to the elimination of open qualifiers leading up to the Shanghai Major.
ENCE General Manager Niklas 'Willkey' Ojalainen stated that his past experience in different positions, including as a former professional player, analyst, and most recently coach, played a vital role in securing the job.
