Endpoint sl3nd: “[CS2] is a new chance for everyone who is trying to make it to the next level”

With GamerLegion’™s run at the BLAST.tv Paris Major and MOUZ’™s win at ESL Pro League Season 18, the confidence in players who have previously featured on MOUZ NXT is stratospheric.

One such player, Henrich “sl3nd” Hevesi, who is perhaps less well known due to his time with the team coming after its dominant run in the WePlay Academy League, now finds himself playing for Endpoint.

The Hungarian AWPer has mounted an impressive performance over the past three months and with a new Counter-Strike game to play, will be looking to emulate his compatriot Adam “torzsi” Torzsas in the new era. With that in mind, BLIX sat down with sl3nd to discuss his addition to Endpoint, the MOUZ NXT pipeline and CS2, among other topics.

Sam “AN1MO” McKenzie, BLIX: You’™ve been on Endpoint for a couple of months now, how are you feeling?

sl3nd: I’™ve been in Endpoint for some time now, and I’™m quite comfortable in the team and I’™m happy to play here and represent Endpoint.

BLIX: You came through the MOUZ NXT talent pipeline. Given the success other MOUZ NXT graduates have been enjoying, does that give you extra confidence about your abilities and potential?

sl3nd: It doesn’™t really affect me how the other players who came from MOUZ NXT have done; this is my own journey and my own path, I just have to make sure I work as hard as I can so I can reach the next level like them.

BLIX: You recently featured in a list of the top five AWPers to look out for in CS2, what does something like that mean to you?

sl3nd: I was a bit surprised when I was told that I was on that list, but I am very happy to be there, and it just gives me more motivation to grind even more.

BLIX: Speaking of CS2, presuming you’™ve played it now, how are you feeling about the game?

sl3nd: I have played the game consistently for a week now, and I’™m learning more and more each day. I think it can be as good as CS:GO was, but it will still need some time. I think the spraying and the movement are still weird but we have to get used to it.

BLIX: Where do you hope to be in the professional space and your career within the first two years of CS2 being the main game?

sl3nd: I believe in my team that we will work hard and we will try our best to achieve great things together. I am looking forward to starting to play CS2 competitively, it’™s a new chance for everyone who is trying to make it to the next level.

BLIX: Going back to Endpoint, HeavyGod has been touted by players like Spinx [Lotan Giladi] and Nertz [Guy Iluz] as having huge potential. What’s he like as a teammate and a player?

sl3nd: HeavyGod [Nikita Martynenko] is a very nice and humble teammate in and outside of the game. I love to spend time with him, he’™s very funny and I think he will make it to the next level soon if he keeps performing like this.

BLIX: Similarly, AZUWU [Oscar Bell] is regarded as being one the best players to come out of the UK scene in years, what can you tell me about him?

sl3nd: AZUWU is also a really nice guy, and also one of the most talented players I have ever played with. He’™s a guy who plays a lot and you can tell he is very dedicated to making it to the next level.

BLIX: What are the hopes and goals for the rest of the year both as a team and for yourself individually?

sl3nd: First of all I would like to get to know CS2 a bit more, learn new stuff about the game and understand how the new game will work. Also, as I said earlier, I believe in the team that we will play and grind a lot so we can all improve together.
