Six matches will be played on Wednesday, two of which will be for the playoff spot. Underdog teams were a real surprise in the previous groups, but for Groups C and D, it seems more complicated for underdogs to steal a game from more experienced teams, and experience comes on top. We will have to see if Wednesday gameday brings something new in case of surprising underdog wins. Here, you will find Wednesday's match schedule and overview.
Schedule
- BIG vs. BOSS, FlyQuest vs. Natus Vincere starting at 12:30 CET
- Bad News Kangaroos vs. ENCE, MOUZ vs. GamerLegion starting at 15:30 CET
- FORZE vs. FURIA, Monte vs. Liquid at 18:30 CET
Matches Overview
BIG vs. BOSS
BIG vs. BOSS - ESL Pro League 19
German team BIG faces an underdog team from NA, and BIG seems to be a clear favorite to win this match, as it should be. BIG has not had top places at any tournaments for a long time, but at the same time, they were a team that could surprise anyone at any point. Since they're a European team and practice in Europe with much better teams, they will have an advantage over BOSS.
FlyQuest vs. Natus Vincere
FlyQuest vs. Natus Vincere - ESL Pro League 19
Champions of the PGL Major - Natus Vincere against an underdog Australian team, FlyQuest, in an opening Group D match. Natus Vincere is a clear favorite to win this match based on everything, from their experience to their results. The PGL Major Champions title should tell enough about Natus Vincere's current level; they're the best team in the world at the moment. FlyQuest must give it their all to have some chance against such a team.
Bad News Kangaroos vs. ENCE
Bad News Kangaroos vs. ENCE - ESL Pro League 19
These teams lost their opening matches and haven't shown anything good yet. ENCE will be a clear favorite to win this match since they're the better team overall, and they should take this win to keep their way in ESL Pro League 19. Bad News Kangaroos might try to surprise them, but it's hard to do in a best-of-three series against a more experienced team.
MOUZ vs. GamerLegion
MOUZ vs. GamerLegion - ESL Pro League 19
These two teams know each other and met before at IEM Katowice; MOUZ won their previous heads-up match with a 2-0 score in a best-of-three series. Now, after all the success MOUZ had, they're probably the ones who will have an advantage here since they're in good shape, and GamerLegion is a shaky team that has yet to find consistency.
FORZE vs. FURIA
FORZE vs. FURIA - ESL Pro League 19
FURIA seems to be a favorite to win this match since FORZE is yet to prove what their mix of players is capable of. After losing the opening match, FURIA should be extra motivated to keep themselves in the ESL Pro League and start winning, and this one is an excellent chance to do so.
Monte vs. Liquid
Monte vs. Liquid - ESL Pro League 19
Monte is still getting on their way to finding their game with the new roster with a new roster, and Liquid might be a hard one to do for them at this point; even though Liquid also has the same problems with being consistent, their overall experience and time they played together should help them to win this match and proceed to the playoff stage.
We will return tomorrow with an overview of the other day's matches, so stay tuned. Don't miss the Wednesday matches—they will be fire!
