Complexity has mutually agreed to end Ricky ‘floppy’ Kemery’s contract, as announced by the North American organization on Wednesday. This announcement follows less than a month after the 25-year-old was placed on the bench.
‘Floppy’ dedicated almost three years to Complexity after the organization acquired the Extra Salt core along with Michael ‘Grim’ Wince and Paytyn ‘junior’ Johnson in January 2022.
During his time with Complexity, he participated in the Majors held in Antwerp, Paris, Copenhagen, and Shanghai, only missing the event in Rio de Janeiro after the team placed outside the qualification zone in the Americas RMR.
In the summer of 2024, ‘floppy’ contributed to Complexity securing their victory at ESL Challenger Jönköping, marking the only LAN title during his lengthy time with the organization. This victory was also among the few highlights in an otherwise underwhelming year for the team, who struggled to maintain the impressive results from the beginning of CS2, when they reached the finals of IEM Sydney 2023 and entered the top five in the world rankings.
Complexity wrapped up the 2024 season on a disappointing note after being eliminated from the Shanghai Major in the Opening Stage due to defeats against FlyQuest, Passion UA, and BIG. In addition to sidelining ‘floppy’, the organization also parted ways with assistant coach James ‘JamezIRL’ Macaulay, who had been part of the team since July 2023.

Complexity has not yet finalized a replacement for ‘floppy’, who celebrated his 25th birthday on Tuesday. They are anticipated to seek out a second signing since Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski is apparently in advanced negotiations with FaZe.
