Gabriela “bokor” Bokor’s departure from FURIA, by her own decision, to form the project she envisioned began a whole new journey. The team that came together, according to Carlos Bokor, Gabriela’s father, was the result of a great desire among all elements to play together and succeed on their own (you’ll understand more about her father’s role in this story soon). This is how Atrix was was formed after four months of playing as an orgless lineup called “Mocreias”:

“The initial idea was to ‘sell’ the project to an organization to hire,” Carlos tells BLIX, however, despite contacts with some organizations, offers didn’t materialize and some of the players were considering individual proposals to “be able to pay the bills.”
In this context, Gabriela’s father Carlos Bokor, appeared, investing an initial financial contribution in order to structure an organization, hence Atrix was born. This decision by Carlos to invest in his daughter’s team was part of a vision to diversify the Brazilian women’s scene with a new women-focused organization.
“In several Brazilian women’s championships we see that there are few teams with organizations, so many of the brands want to come and invest in financial modalities and do not have organizations to invest in, so this is also an opportunity,” Carlos revealed.
Atrix arrives with an unprecedented proposal in esports: “It is 100% operated by women and the organization’s mission is to focus only on female esports”, explained Carlos. The organization will direct all of the prize pools to the players.
By women for women, Atrix was born in the esports scene with an idea that according to Carlos: “is an idea that we hope other organizations follow”.
Despite a mixed debut at Gamers Club Masters Feminina VIII, the team are aiming to a be a fixture in the women’s scene and to set a model for other women to follow in the future.
