Ninjas in Pyjamas has revealed that Young Ninjas Jacob ‘jocab’ Nerheden will remain as a substitute for the team through the end of the year while Max ‘maxster’ Jansson is sidelined due to persistent health concerns.
‘maxster’ has already skipped the last event of Ninjas in Pyjamas, the Elisa Masters Espoo, where Richard ‘Xizt’ Landström’s team finished in last place, suffering defeats against B8 and JANO, and will now miss the conclusion of the Major cycle before the winter break.
During his first event with the main team, ‘jocab’ faced considerable challenges, ultimately finishing with a disappointing average rating of just 0.80 across the four maps played in Espoo. However, his performance took a notable turn in the online segment of the Thunderpick World Championship, where he managed to elevate his average to a more respectable 0.99 after competing in seven additional maps. This improvement highlights his growing adaptability and skill as he gains experience in high-stakes competition.
