Aurora Gaming signs Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin, who had been inactive, from the CS:GO team forZe.
21-year-old KENSI will reunite with another ex-forZe player Evgeniy “Norwi” Ermolin, with whom he’d went to the bench at the same time on October 16 when the squad failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Major.
Both athletes were put on the transfer list and Norwi joined Aurora in November. KENSI revealed that he could have joined Aurora a long time ago. He previously trained with the team but then it didn’t work out. Later, an offer from Aurora came during the RMR in Malta.
“Let’s see what comes out of this. One of these days I’m flying to Serbia for a bootcamp, and I don’t know when I’ll be back to Russia,” KENSI said.
Aurora CS:GO team is now:
- Evgeny “delus1onn” Plottsov
- Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev
- Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin
- Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin
- Sergey “starix” Ischuk (coach)
- Aleksandr “KaiR0N” Anashkin (benched and transfer placed)
