EYEBALLERS has made the decision to part ways with Maikil ‘Golden’ Selim and Peppe ‘Peppzor’ Borak, reducing their roster to only three players. The Swedish team is looking to regroup and is focusing on building around the core players Jesper ‘JW’ Wecksell, Ludvig ‘HEAP’ Alonso, and Alex ‘poiii’Nyholm Sundgren. They are planning to conduct try-outs to complete their starting five.
‘Peppzor’ became a part of the team almost two years ago, after competing with fnatic Rising and fnatic. He joined the team in December 2022, filling in the spot vacated by Leo ‘Svedjehed’ Svedjehed. His standout performance was in 2023 when he played a crucial role in EYEBALLERS’ victory in Svenska Cuppen. Additionally, he contributed to the team making it to the PGL Major Copenhagen EU RMR closed qualifier.
Golden’s time with the team was brief. He became a member in March after Casper ‘SHiNE’ Wennerberg was benched, having transferred from GODSENT.
The EYEBALLERS team has experienced a challenging year with limited success. As a result, there have been significant changes in the roster. The team began the year as a top 40 team in the HLTV World Ranking but has since fallen to 89th place.
