Vitality has officially revealed the signing of Robin ‘ropz’ Kool, taking the position vacated by Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi’s transition to the inactive roster.
After three years, ‘ropz’ will no longer be wearing a FaZe jersey when he enters the server. The Estonian had a successful stint with ‘FaZe’, securing the PGL Major Antwerp, seven additional major LAN titles, and earning a spot on HLTV’s top 20 players list three times, with a peak position of third.
In 2024, FaZe had a mixed year, finishing second at PGL Major Copenhagen and winning IEM Chengdu, but struggled with form afterward. They found their stride late in the year, earning back-to-back Major grand finals appearances, with ‘ropz’ playing a crucial role in their Perfect World Shanghai Major campaign.
He becomes a part of a Vitality team that excelled in 2023, yet could not maintain that supremacy. After securing five trophies, including a Major, in the previous year, Vitality faced challenges in reaching those same levels of success in 2024, entering the summer player break without a single trophy to show.
Vitality succeeded in winning the IEM Cologne trophy, preventing 2024 from being completely empty, but that marked their final grand final entry of the year. They concluded their season with a frustrating elimination in the opening round of the playoffs at the Perfect World Shanghai Major, falling to ‘ropz’ and FaZe.
