On Friday, the Dutch organization Liquid announced the completion of the signing of Roland ‘ultimateâ ‘ Tomkowiak, the former Illuminar AWPer. This signing leaves only one vacancy in the squad to be filled.
‘ultimate’ debuted in the Polish scene with AGO in early 2022 and attended ESL Pro League Season 15 as his first major event. Initially struggling, he has since improved his performance in CS2, maintaining a 1.16 rating, although most of his matches have been against lower-level opponents, and he’s yet to face a top 20 team in CS2.
Liquid has made some significant changes in their team during the off-season. ‘ultimate’ will now be responsible for handling the AWPing duties, taking over from Casper ‘cadiaN’ Møller, who has been benched. Alongside this change, Felipe ‘skullz’ Medeiros has been transferred to FURIA, and head coach Wilton ‘zews’Prado has been relieved of his coaching duties.
The team has appointed Torbjørn ‘mithR’ Nyborg as their new coach. The decision was influenced by his proven ability to develop in-game leaders, indicating that the captaincy is likely to be given to Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken.
