Virtus.pro has been invited to participate in the 2024 Thunderpick World Championship, as confirmed by the tournament’s organizer. This invitation has increased the number of competing teams to 11 for the highly anticipated $850,000 competition.
Virtus.pro, currently ranked 11th in the world, is set to join a prestigious lineup of teams for an upcoming tournament. This esteemed list includes powerhouse teams such as Cloud9, BIG, M80, and Falcons. Hailing from Russia, Virtus.pro was last spotted competing in ESL Pro League 20 and will be diving straight into this tournament fresh off their participation in IEM Rio.
The Thunderpick World Championshipis set to take place from October 21-26. The tournament will kick off with a double-elimination group stage, consisting of four groups, each comprising four teams.
Each group’s top two performing teams will advance to the single-elimination playoffs. The highly anticipated semi-final matches and the ultimate grand-final showdown will be held at LVL in Berlin.
