European esports organization OG Esports has parted ways with two Dota 2 players: Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin and Tommy “Taiga” Le.
‘After two fantastic years together, today marks the formal closure of our collaboration with Taiga since our contract has now officially ended. Thanks for all the adventures Papa Tommy. We also bid farewell to our friend DM, as his contract with us has also come to an end. It has been a wild ride, thank you for everything brother,” the organization noted on X (Twitter).
Taiga has been inactive since August 1, and DM joined him on the bench on September 14. OG’s Dota 2 team failed to qualify for The International 2023, finishing Western Europe Qualifiers in 5th – 6th place.
However, DM will still go to TI. He joined 9Pandas as a coach.
“The main intrigue of The International has finally been unveiled: Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin is set to become the coach of 9Pandas. The 23-year-old offlaner has been working with the team in Seattle and is preparing for the upcoming match against Team Spirit,” noted the 9Pandas statement.
This will be DM’s second appearance at The International, following his 5-6th place finish in 2021 as part of Virtus.pro.
“Dima is an excellent player, and our team holds him in high regard. OG had a challenging season, and as someone who’s passionate about Dota, he responded to our offer to try his hand at coaching. Dmitry brings 12,000 Dota Pro Circuit points and a deep understanding of the game. A fresh perspective on our team’s gameplay is just what we need. I’m excited to work with a professional like DM,” noted 9Pandas’ captain, Alexey “Solo” Berezin.
