Dota 2 News: The Ringmaster and Compendium 2024

In the most recent update, Valve introduced Compendium for The International 2024 and released a new hero named Ringmaster. Ringmaster is the 125th character to join Dota 2.

The official Dota2.com website has released a comic book dedicated to the launch of the new hero. The comic tells the story of the Ringmaster, who was introduced by Valve before the grand finals of The International 2023, held from October 12 to 29 in Seattle, USA. The developers promised to add a new hero to the MOBA in 2024, and the new hero’s name is Cogliostro Kettle. He is available for free to all players. The previous character, Muerta, was introduced in Dota last March.

The hero possesses high base stats and experiences significant increases as the level rises. As a result, the hero is expected to have high survivability and a large mana pool.

Controlling fights with a showman’™s flare, Ringmaster tames enemies with his fearsome whip and endless knives, ushers allies away from danger with his cunning escape act, and always draws a crowd to witness the wonders of his mesmerizing wheel unwillingly.

The hero currently does not have different facet variations. This is likely due to the new hero, and one gameplay variation currently suffices for this character. Ringmaster will undoubtedly have different facets in future updates.

Enemy heroes who face the wheel for more than 0,5 seconds are mesmerized and drawn towards it. The first enemy to be mesmerized triggers a timer for the wheel to explode. If the timer is not triggered, it will automatically explode after 8 seconds.

The cost of the Compendium for The International 2024

This year, the Compendium is available in two versions: standard ($7.49) and enhanced ($29.99). 25% of all sales contribute to The International 2024 prize pool.

The International 2024 will occur from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sixteen teams will compete for the prize pool, which currently amounts to $1.6 million.
