This week was full of action in Dota 2 because we had the chance to see a lot of epic moments. Aside from the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, there were also loads of news that you may have missed. That’s why it is time for our Dota 2 Weekly Roundup, where we’ll show you everything.

    Contents

    • 1 Natus VIncere’s Dota 2 Roster is On The Bench
    • 2 PSG Quest Removes its Dota 2 Roster
    • 3 Team Falcons wins BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024

Natus VIncere’s Dota 2 Roster is On The Bench

Natus Vincere has always been one of the most legendary Dota 2 organizations. With that said, the last couple of years were very hard for the Ukrainians because they couldn’t live up to the expectations. Therefore, Na’Vi decided it was time for the final nail in the coffin and benched its Dota 2 roster.

The organization said it was playing with stand-ins, and these people can no longer represent the club. As a result, Na’Vi had no other choice but to suspend its Dota 2 roster.
Following the changes, these players will no longer be able to play in the upcoming tournaments with this banner:

    • Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev
    • Sukhbat “sanctity-” Otgondavaa
    • Dmitry “nefrit” Tarasich
    • Baqyt “Zayac” Emiljanov
    • Arman “Malady” Orazbaye

Considering that a lot of these players are household names in Dota 2, it’s just a matter of time before they find a new team. The International 2024 shuffle is technically over (at least for most big teams), but there are a lot of teams that will gladly add any of these names under their banners.
Xtreme Gaming Makes Two Important Roster Changes

    【XtremeGaming Team Roster Change Announcement】

After a long period of multi-party communication and internal consultation, and on the premise of fully respecting the wishes of the players, we have made the following adjustments from now on:

Pos 4 XinQ (Zhao Zixing) has been… pic.twitter.com/idwORltfV1

Besides Natus Vincere, another professional Dota 2 team also made important roster changes. Xtreme Gaming has been among China’s best Dota 2 teams lately, so a lot of people were surprised to see changes in the roster. As we reported, the squad decided to replace two of its supports.
Following the announcement, Zhao “XinQ” Zixing and Ding “Dy” Cong are no longer in XG’s active roster. Instead of these two, the Chinese powerhouse decided to add Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan and Jiang “天命” An. In othjer words, XG parted ways with its two support players.
The reason why we added this roster change to our Dota 2 weekly roundup is because of the players’ caliber. Xinq, one of the people who left, was among Xtreme Gaming’s most important players. At just 26 years of age, he has already proved himself against some of the best in the world, so a lot of people are shocked that he is no longer on the team.

Dy is the second name that won’t play for the Chinese powerhouse. Xtreme Gaming’s pos 5 player was a part of this squad for more than 3 years. In other words, his departure means Xtreme Gaming opens a new chapter.

Of the two new players, Pyw is a well-known name who achieved good results in 2023. The other new addition to the team has yet to prove himself.

PSG Quest Removes its Dota 2 Roster

    Thank you
    Aybek "TA2000" Tokayev
    Tony "No!ob" Assaf
    Abdimalik "Malik" Sailau
    Omar "OmaR" Moughrabi
    Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin pic.twitter.com/6lP4Aev8lF

    — PSG Quest (@PSGQuest) October 25, 2024

PSG Quest was among the Dota 2 teams that a lot of people loved and many were hoping to see achieve good results. While it is true that the squad had some success early on, this has not been the case in the last couple of months. Therefore, people were not surprised that PSG Quest decided to part ways with its entire roster.

After the changes, the following names are no longer a part of the organization:

    • Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev
    • Tony “No!ob” Assaf
    • Abdimalik “Malik” Sailau
    • Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi
    • Andrey “Dukalis” Kuripatnik

We do not have any news regarding PSG Quest’s future in Dota 2. It seems like the team decided to pause its activity for now. With that said, we wouldn’t be surprised if it decided to acquire Na’Vi’s roster.

In terms of the players, we know that they already found new homes. TA2000, for example, is part of Aurora Gaming, whereas Malik is in Team Spirit. Dukalis plays for PARIVISION and No!ob and OmaR are with Nigma Galaxy.

Team Falcons wins BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024

Although DreamLeague Season 24 is about to begin in a few days, the Dota 2 community had the chance to watch BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. The event was fun because there were many big names there. Many people expected Team Liquid to lift the trophy, but in the end, Team Falcons succeeded.

TF were the best team at the tournament because they did not have any issues until the Grand Final. Surprisingly, the squad defeated Team Liquid in the Quarterfinals and then also won against Team Spirit in the Semifinals. After that, TF defeated Tundra in the Upper Bracket Final and did the same in the Grand Final. The latter was amazing to watch because we saw a 5-game thriller.

    What’s Next?

As mentioned earlier in this Dota 2 weekly roundup, the community is slowly preparing for the upcoming DL Season 24. Once the tournament is over, fans can also watch BLAST Slam I, as well as ESL One Bangkok 2024. These are the last two big Dota 2 competitions in 2024, so make sure to follow Blix.gg for more information about them.
