Frostivus 2023
One of the all-time favorite Dota 2 events is back, and this time, it has much to offer. Dota 2 Frostivus 2023 brings tons of new sets and items to the table, as well as cool effects. On top of that, it will give everyone a present based on that person’s behavior score. In fact, there was a really funny moment when Mason got banned on stream after he opened the chest. It seems like Valve is monitoring those who are smurfing and/or doing other violations, so be careful.
In terms of cosmetic items, you can find special things for Wraith King, Alchemist, Primal Beast, and more. What’s new for Frostivus 2023 is that players can use some of the festive items an unlimited number of times. Moreover, once you start winning games, you can get your Frostivus Spirit Meter up and earn special chests.
Quality of Life updates
The next thing we need to discuss before focusing on the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 is the quality of life updates. It’s been a while since Valve decided to release something like this, so it’s no surprise that people are very interested in seeing what’s new.
- One of the first things you will see is a Tower Range Indicator. This means you finally know what the tower range is and what you can do to avoid getting hit.
- You now have a teleport time that will show you how much time you need until you teleport. This Dota 2 option was not available before.
- Minimap Icons – The latest update also allows you to combine hero icons and arrows. There is no need to choose one over another anymore.
- Better Item Tooltops
- Ability Icon States – You can see when Silver Edge breaks your passive or when a given ability is not available due to a specific effect.
- Dota 2 + Wisdom Rune Timer
- XP Range Indicator
- Creep Bounties
Aside from those things, the most recent Dota 2 update also includes a lot of other HUD improvements. You also have a new profile showcase, where you have animations, a grid snap, improved portraits, and much more.
The Dota 2 armory is also new. The grouping has been improved, and you can now have filters and tags. What’s more, you can also look for your stickers.
Dota Plus Changes
Dota Plus is something that a lot of people are using because they like the extra perks. It’s been a while since Dota 2 players have seen changes in this regard, but the new update adds a lot of interesting changes. For example, there are new premium sets, a special seasonal quest refresh, updated guild rewards, and many more.
Dota 2 Patch 7.35 Patch Notes
It’s finally time to address the elephant in the room – Dota 2 Patch 7.35! There are so many new things we can talk about, so we will most likely create a separate article for some of the changes.
Besides general updates, there are also a lot of new items, item reworks, and item removals. Of course, the newest patch, 7.35 in Dota 2, also brings a lot of buffs and nerfs to the table, so we’d like to start from there.
Hero Changes
Pretty much every Dota 2 hero received some kind of change in the 7.35 patch. However, some got more buffs and nerfs than others, so we’ve decided to share some information about them.
- Abaddon
Following the changes, the hero’s base armor is up by 1. Curse of Avernus now deals 60 DMG/sec to the target when it proceeds for the duration of the curse, and it deals 70% less damage to towers. The hero also got small talent changes.
- Axe
Axe’s base armor is up by 1 in the Dota 2 Patch 7.35. Berserker’s Call now gives 16/19/22/25 instead of 25 armor, whereas Culling Blade gives +30 armor instead of +40 AS on kill (on level 3). Furthermore, Axe’s level 10 talent now gives +4s Culling Blade Speed Duration instead of +10 Berserker’s Call Armor.
- Batrider
The 7.35 patch in Dota 2 increases Batrider’s Flamebreak movement slow from 10/15/20/25% to 15/20/25/30%, and the projectile speed is up to 1400 from 1200.
Firefly has a bit less cooldown than before, and Flaming Lasso has an AoE indicator when there is a second target with an Aghanim’s Scepter.
- Chen
Despite not being the most popular pun Dota 2 hero, Chen got a lot of new things. Penitence now applies an attack range bonus to all ranged units under Chen’s control. Holy Persuasion no longer teleports units to Chen, and Hand of God’s initial healing is down by 50 on all levels.
An interesting change to the hero is related to Divine Favor. The ability is completely reworked. Now, it provides a passive aura that gives up to 4 HP/sec to all units within the 1200 range. Also, the ability can be used on an ally within range, and the latte will get up to 24 armor and increase the healing it takes by 20% for 6s.
If Chen casts this ability on himself, all units under his control will appear to him after 6s, but the teleport effect will be canceled if the units are damaged.
Final Thoughts
Expect Part 2 of the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 analysis, where we will cover a lot more things than those mentioned here. The latest updates have tons of other hero changes, as well as new items we need to talk about.
