Ex-Alliance Dota 2 player Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov has decided to retire from the competitive scene.
“No. I’m not gonna being a pro 100 percent. No more pro gaming for me 100 percent”, he said on the stream.
The 25-year-old Bulgarian player stated that he is going to become a streamer and is already preparing content for the first stream.
“I’m planning to stream for now and do a podcast. I’m already working on the podcast. I’m thinking about the questions and the content there should be inside this podcast. But like I said the first episode will be with Loda [Jonathan “Loda” Berg, CEO and co-owner of Alliance]. I guess it might come up to ten days”, Nikobaby said.
At the end of September, the Sweden-based esports organization Alliance announced the disbanding of its Dota 2 roster with Nikobaby and hiring a new one.
The team didn’t win a single tournament since May 2021 and failed the qualifiers for The International 2022, finishing 9th-12th.
