Ukrainian multi-gaming esports organization Natus Vincere has parted ways with their Dota 2 captain Alexey “Solo” Berezin.
“Despite the players’ best efforts and finishing first in their group, NAVI failed to qualify for the main event of The International 2022. To improve their results next season, the team will undergo some changes. We thank Solo for his professionalism and contributions to growing the club’s Dota 2 branch and wish him luck next season. We are going to share news about further roster changes later on, so stay tuned!” noted the NAVI statement.
32-year-old Solo has played for Natus Vincere since September 2021. With him, the team placed 5/6th in the second season of DPC EEU and then improved results in the third, securing a trip to PGL Arlington Major 2022. At the Major, the team finished 13th-14th.
Earlier, there were rumors that Solo had a conflict with NAVI players. Allegedly, his authoritarian leadership style doesn’t suit other teammates. For this reason, Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin left the team in the spring of this year.
NAVI Dota 2 roster is:
- Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey
- Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko
- Vladyslav “laise” Lais
- Georgii “swedenstrong” Zainalabidov
