Legendary three-times World Champion and Worlds 2022 finalist Lee “Faker” Sang-Hyeok is reportedly exploring options as a midlaner in several regions, after his contract runs out on 21st of November, 2022, sources told BLIX.GG on Sunday.
One of the regions Faker is considering offers from is North America.
Every offseason Faker has been rumored to be in talks with one or several NA teams. Back in 2021, in the brief time he spent as a free agent, he was rumoured to go to several teams in LCK, LPL and LCS, but in the end sticking with T1 once again without knowing whether those offers existed or not.
But, this year Faker has reportedly received interest from Team Liquid and Flyquest.
Team Liquid made their offer after being in negotiations for some time, sources told BLIX.GG.
Like in previous years, there’s a strong chance that Faker could just end up re-signing with T1 and he is just exploring his possible options.
Faker had a solid 2022 with a level that brought a lot of people back to Worlds Championship times back in 2013, 2015 and 2016. Besides that, the legendary narrative that could’ve ended with the 4th Worlds title got frustrated by the DRX and Deft underdog, stronger narrative.
Besides that, Faker is still considered as a world-class midlaner, and surely the best player of all times, which not only brings the best level available, but one of the biggest, if not the biggest, brands of League of Legends within your team.

The Unkillable Demon King’s future in League of Legends could not be with T1 after almost 10 years belonging to the Korean organization, although keep in mind that negotiations do not link the player to any team whatsoever, and still, the expected move from Faker is to remain at T1 for another year.
