Format, Prizepool distribution
The FFWS is divided into three phases: Knockout, Points Rush and the Grand Finals. The first phase, Knockout, will be on November 10-12 and November 17-19, with 6 matches per day. At this stage, the teams from the groups face each other and the top twelve will qualify for the next two stages.
Before we go to the Points Rush and Grand Finals phases, it’s worth understanding how the teams will score. Each kill means a point added, but placement in the match also results in a score:
- 1st ‘ 12 points
- 2nd – 9 points
- 3rd ‘ 8 points
- 4th ‘ 7 points
- 5th ‘ 6 points
- 6th ‘ 5 points
- 7th ‘ 4 points
- 8th ‘ 3 points
- 9th ‘ 2 points
- 10th ‘ 1 point
- 11th-12th ‘ 0 points
The twelve best teams with the most points in Knockout will move on to Points Rush. This phase will be played over November 24 and 25, and the teams will also play 6 matches each day.
Once this phase is over, on November 26, the teams play the Grand Finals. Depending on their position in the Points Rush, teams will play the Grand Finals by a certain number of points ahead:
- 1st ‘ 8 points
- 2nd ‘ 6 points
- 3rd ‘ 5 points
- 4th ‘ 4 points
- 5th ‘ 3 points
- 6th ‘ 2 points
- 7th-10th- 1 point
- 11th-12th ‘ 0 points
The team that performs best and scores the most in the Grand Finals becomes champion of the Free Fire World Series 2023.
