    Halo World Championship 2023: Overview, Scores, Bracket and Results

    Following the Fort Worth Major in Texas, the Halo Championship Series (HCS) is about to end with the height of the season: Halo World Championship. The tournament takes place in Seattle, Washington from October 13-15.

    The event will feature a Free-For-All tournament with $25,000 USD in prize money, the Halo Community Stage and $5,000 USD Cosplay Contest with more details being revealed for the last two soon.

    Teams attending

    Sixteen teams will attend the major tournament of the HCS 2023 season in Seattle. Eight teams qualified through the Top 8 at the Fort Worth Major, in the first days of September. Six teams qualified with HCS Points; four North American teams and two European teams. The winners of MX Regional Playoff and ANZ Regional Playoff complete the list of teams attending the World Championship.

    How to watch Halo World Championship

    Tournament broadcast is expected on both Halo’™s official Twitch and YouTube channels, as with other big Halo Championship Series Events.

    However, there’™s still no information about any streamer watch parties broadcasting the event or the game start times.

    Format, prize pool distribution

    Teams are distributed into four groups, called Pools, with four teams each, as explained above. The two best teams advance to round 1 of the Upper Bracket while the third placed team advance to round 1 of the Lower Bracket. Teams that finish in fourth place in their group say goodbye to the competition.

    In the group stage everyone will face each other in a best of five.

    Playoffs

    All the games in Lower and Upper Brackets will be in best of five, except the grand finals, which will be in best of seven. Playoffs will be in Double Elimination.

    Prize Pool

    The major Halo Championship Series tournament will close out the 2023 season, distributing $1,000,000 USD in prize pool.

    • 1st: $400,000
    • 2nd: $220,000
    • 3rd: $110,000
    • 4th: $70,000
    • 5th-6th: $45,000
    • 7th-8th: $25,000
    • 9th-12th: $10,000
    • 13th-16th: $5,000
