Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas and Daniil “pipsoN” Meshcheryakov have reached an agreement with Giants for the Valorant EMEA VCT 2023, sources told BLIX.GG on Wednesday.
Both players came from the former G2 roster, a team that ultimately did not enter franchising, despite all the rumors that it would enter the VCT America.
During their stays, G2 Esports finished second in VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers and qualified for VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters – ReykjavÃk where they lost 0:2 against Paper Rex. Both competed in Giants in 2021 before joining G2. As we reported earlier, Giants secured the signing of Cloud (NAVI’s player), Rhyme and the renewal of Fitinho. In the near future we will report on Giants Gaming’s upcoming additions to the VCT roster.
In VALORANT, Giants achieved big results in 2021, winning Spanish LVP Rising Series twice and participating in VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers, where they managed to get a pretty impressive second place in VCT 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers 2, as well as 5th-6th place in VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs. In 2022, they achieved decent results in VRL Spain, reaching Semifinals in both Stages.
